Our Story
Since 2002, Burgin Homebuilders has been creating exceptional homes, developments and communities across Chattanooga and the surrounding region. What began with custom homes and high-end renovations has grown into a full-service construction and development company with capabilities spanning custom and spec homebuilding, neighborhood development, and civil site construction.
Our in-house team brings each project from vision to completion with a focus on technique, craftsmanship and durability. Led by Matt Burgin, the team combines decades of experience in construction, land development, excavation and site preparation with the detailed craftsmanship Burgin Homebuilders has been known for since the beginning.
Today, our capabilities extend well beyond vertical construction. Burgin Homebuilders provides civil site development services including land clearing, excavation and earthwork, mass and fine grading, underground utility installation, stormwater and drainage infrastructure, road construction, building pads and complete site preparation.
Because we are developers and builders ourselves, we approach civil construction with the finished project in mind. We understand how grading, utilities, roads, drainage and site infrastructure affect everything that comes next—from individual building pads to entire residential communities and commercial developments. In every project our goal remains the same: build it correctly, build it to last, and create long-term value for the people and communities we serve.

At Burgin Homebuilders, our mission is to deliver quality construction using locally sourced materials while honoring the natural beauty of Chattanooga and the surrounding region. As a locally born-and-raised builder, we believe in building homes and communities that respect and preserve the resources around us.
When trees are cleared, they’re sent to the sawmill to be given new life; when rock is excavated, it becomes part of the foundation. Every project reflects our commitment to craftsmanship, sustainability, and the responsibility we feel to our hometown and its future.
